The fit is loose. There is no reduction of the waist. The belt provides narrowing on the waistline and the shape of the coatigan adopts the shape of the body.
Large buttons
2 cm buttons – 4 – front of coatigan
1cm buttons – 2 – one button per small belt holder
1.5 cm buttons – 6 – 4 for pockets and 2 for large belt holder
The pattern is very forgiving so there is no need to make buttonholes.
