Spring approached and summer is on the way, it is time to talk about summer fibers and COTTON.

As any other crocheter, I am a member of many Crochet Groups.

I have to admit the most disturbing conversation, at least for me, is when somebody asks what can they make with cotton yarn.

'Dishcloths, doilies, toys? '

You can make everything you want, not only dishcloths or doilies!

So far I have made summer shawls, blazers, coats, waistcoats, blankets, bags ... it is no different than winter, you just use cotton/ linen yarn, cotton blend yarn which is suitable for the warmer months.

Furthermore, as cotton yarn is used for pieces in the warmer months, the colours that you can use are ALL - bright, shinny and rainbowy, perfect for the summer :)

In the photos below I present few pieces I have made I have made for the summer months - all made with cotton.

Cotton yarn drapes better, keep you cool and warm at the same time and it overall looks fantastic.

I have decided to dye some cotton yarn and make a blouse ready for the summer.
